Nominations now open for Midlands Region Chesney Award

27 May, 2019
2018 winner Deborah Richardson of Keele University receives her award from Stephen Moorhouse on behalf of the Midlands Region

The Chesney Award is taking nominations from SoR members to recognise students in the Midlands Region who have ‘consistently demonstrated their understanding of patient care and enhancing patient experience.’

The prize includes a certificate of excellence and £100, which will be presented to the successful nominee at the Midlands Region Study Day in November.

The award is open to any undergraduate student members of the SoR whose clinical placement base is in the Midlands Region.

Nominations must be made by 30 September 2019 by completing the form and sending it to the regional chair or secretary.

The award was created in memory of the outstanding contribution to radiography by the late Muriel and Noreen Chesney, known for their work in the Midlands Region as authors, lecturers and radiography enthusiasts.
