The Society of Radiographers can claim to be the only organisation that truly represents the interests of you and your colleagues.
Membership is open to anyone working in clinical imaging, radiotherapy and oncology.
There is no other organisation that represents all of the radiographic workforce - practitioners, radiographic assistants, assistant practitioners, support workers and student radiographers.

* Associated Professional Membership - Please note the following:
The recent change to procedures agreed by UK Council (June 2019) has meant that applicants must now be listed on a statutory or voluntary register before applying for Associated Professional membership.
If an applicant wishes to become an Associated Professional member and is without a statutory regulatory home, e.g. not with the HCPC or NMC, then they will need to apply for and be accepted on to an appropriate Professional Standards Authority (PSA) accredited voluntary register before applying for membership.
For sonographers, there is no current PSA accredited voluntary register but the College of Radiographers operates a public voluntary register (PVRS), Sonographer applicants need to apply and be accepted onto the PVRS in order to be considered for Associate Professional Membership.
The PVRS web page and application form is at: https://www.sor.org/practice/ultrasound/register-sonographers
If you have any questions about the above notes, please contact the SoR membership department on 020 7740 7200 (option 1) or membership@sor.org.
